Terms of service
Last updated: October 5, 2026
These terms apply to merchants who install Resalo ("the app") on their Shopify store. The app is provided by Philip Lim, British Columbia, Canada ("we"). By installing the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
1. The service
Resalo helps you track consigned products, calculate the amounts you owe consignors, and record payouts. Resalo does not move money, pay consignors or provide accounting, tax or legal advice. You remain responsible for checking balances before paying consignors and for your own records.
2. Billing
Paid plans are billed by Shopify through your Shopify invoice, according to the plan you select in the app. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the app's Settings page or by uninstalling the app.
3. Data protection
For personal data the app processes on your behalf, you are the controller and we act as your processor. We:
- process it only to provide the app's features to you, as described in the privacy policy;
- collect only the minimum needed: no buyer names, emails, phone numbers or addresses;
- never sell it or use it for advertising;
- keep it confidential and limit access to the developer for support and maintenance;
- encrypt it in transit and at rest;
- use only the subprocessors listed in the privacy policy (hosting and error monitoring);
- delete all of your store's data when Shopify sends a deletion request after uninstall (backups expire within 7 days);
- help you respond to data requests, and tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a breach affecting your data.
4. Availability and liability
We work to keep the app available and accurate but provide it "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the three months before the claim.
5. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: resalo.help@outlook.com.
