Resalo

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Resalo ("the app") is a Shopify app that helps merchants track consigned products, calculate what they owe consignors, and record payouts. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used. The app is operated by Philip Lim, British Columbia, Canada.

Information the app accesses from Shopify

The app does not collect or store buyers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses or payment details.

Information merchants enter

Merchants can enter consignor details (name and, optionally, email, phone and notes), commission rates and payout records. This information belongs to the merchant and is used only to provide the app's features to that merchant.

How information is used

Information is used only to provide the app's features: tracking consigned products, calculating consignor balances, recording payouts and producing statements. It is never sold, rented or used for advertising.

Sharing

Data is stored with our hosting provider (Render, United States) and processed by an error monitoring service (Sentry) only when an error occurs; error reports exclude request bodies, cookies and headers. We do not share data with anyone else, except where required by law.

Security and retention

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256, including backups). Access is limited to the developer for support and maintenance. When a merchant uninstalls the app, Shopify sends a data deletion request 48 hours later and all of that store's data held by the app is deleted. Database backups expire automatically within 7 days.

Your rights

Merchants can export their consignor statements at any time from within the app, and can ask us to access, correct or delete their data by emailing resalo.help@outlook.com. Because the app does not store buyer personal information, Shopify customer data requests do not return any data from Resalo.
